we started by developing the fabric from scratch inspired by a vintage shirt we found years ago at the paris flea market. to replicate this garment we custom-milled our own fabric. after many trials, we used a coarse recycled cotton yarn knit intentionally loose. using imperfect recycled yarns creates the vintage texture the highs and lows of a t-shirt that feels and looks like you have already washed it 100 times.

Observation: Alanis Tee runs smaller than Henley Tee
First, I absolutely love my shirts from perfectwhitetee. I have several of the Henley Tee, in both S and XS. With the Henley, while there's very little difference in the shoulder seams between the S and XS, I prefer the XS because it still has a loose drape while accommodating my narrow ribcage better. So I ordered the Alanis in XS anticipating the same cut (except that it's cropped). The Alanis XS is noticeably more snug through the body of the shirt than the same size in the Henley. So it ends up looking a bit on the skimpy side on me. I'll be returning the XS and already ordered the Small to replace it because I remain a big fan of PWT due to the quality construction, drape, and fabric that you offer. Thanks!

No other shirt fits as well as this style of perfect white tee. Hands down my favorite and worth every penny! I want one in every color and wish they were not so $$$ but that being said they are worth the splurge, especially for the basic colors. You won’t be sorry.

perfect v neck
I bought the Alanis and the Hendrix. while I like the Hendrix I prefer the Alanis. I just prefer the slightly more fitted look. I like the shorter style and the less boxy or oversized fit of the Alanis. I am 5’4” and 130lbs, 34dd and short waisted. as I am short waisted the t shirt hits right at the button of my mid rise jeans. I can still tuck the front just a bit if I choose to. The Hendrix is slightly longer but less flattering for my chest. if you are not short waisted this style will fit more that way it appears on the model. Great quality and no shrinkage when washed and dried to damp.

if you love a cropped v neck tee, this is for you. the alanis tee is cut from recycled cotton and features a deep v neckline with a wide trim, loose silhouette and cropped length when worn with low to mid rise bottoms.
why we love it: it’s cool, it’s boxy, it’s a little shrunken in length.
features: recycled cotton that allows for some texture; wide + deep v neckline; relaxed + cropped in the body.
fit: runs true to size. we recommend taking your normal size for a classic, cropped fit.

how long do I have to make my return or exchange?
we accept returns & exchanges within 45 days of the ship date on most purchases. please note, shipping fees from the original order are not refundable unless you received a damaged or incorrect item.
what is redo?
selecting redo unlimited returns & exchanges for $2.18 at checkout allows unlimited returns and exchanges for each order. this is a perfect way to get a discounted rate for return/exchanges in case you find your item is not quite perfect. you can unselect this service in your cart. this option can not be refunded.
if I don't select redo is my return or exchange free?
unfortunately we do not cover shipping for any return or exchange. typical charges we see range from $8 -$14.
what is returnable and what is final sale?
merchandise that is unworn, unwashed, in their original condition and with all tags attached. please include the original order packing slip in your return package, if possible. final sale items are marked “final sale” on each product page, email or checkout. final sale items cannot be returned or exchanged.
do you honor price adjustments for orders placed before sale?
no, we do not honor price adjustments.
how soon will I get my refund?
once we receive your return in our warehouse, allow 7-10 business days for the return to be processed and refunded. refunds normally take 3-5 days to post back to your account. we’ll send you an email when our team has processed your refund, so you know it’s on the way.
please only send returns using our pre-paid return labels/ qr code so that we can track your stuff. as much as we’d want to, our system cannot refund a lost return that was sent using a method other than our return labels.
